AI Exchange: Empowering Educators for Tomorrow

Mikayla Ellis (she/her) is the Director of Outreach at Actua, where she engages with diverse communities to design and deliver impactful STEM programs. She specializes in developing initiatives in partnership with Indigenous communities across Canada's Arctic and other remote regions. Grounded by her background in sociology, gender studies, and Indigenous studies, Mikayla is passionate about community outreach and education advocacy for underrepresented groups. For Mikayla, the most rewarding parts of her role are celebrating the achievements of youth in Actua's programs and watching the confidence of the next generation of STEM leaders grow.
